The French rugby sevens team has just launched its season, and in the best possible way. Engaged in a tournament in Perth, Australia, to start their Olympic year, they inherited a strong group including Fiji, Samoa and New Zealand.

A challenge taken up, which the Blues met brilliantly. They kicked off their group stage with an inaugural success against New Zealand, whom they had not managed to beat in ten matches, and a victory in 2019.

The final score, 33 to 17, was enabled by the five tries scored, including the superb one from Jordan Sepho below. The French team will face Fiji at 12:31 p.m.
