The Russian player who plays under a neutral banner in Melbourne reversed a very compromised situation against Alexander Zverev to join the Italian who had dismissed Novak Djokovic in the morning. Trailing 5-7, 6-3, Medvedev turned the situation in his favor by winning the last three rounds (7-6, 7-6, 6-3) after a very high-level fight lasting 4h18 minutes.
