According to the daily Sud-Ouest, the owner of the Girondins de Bordeaux, Gérard Lopez, would now be ready to sell the club. The former owner of LOSC would bet on at least 23 million euros for this sale. Until now, the Luxembourg businessman, owner of the Gironde club since July 2021, was seeking to recruit a minority shareholder but negotiations to this effect have not been successful.

Gérard Lopez has long hoped for his club, which had come close to being demoted to the National level due to a catastrophic financial situation, a rapid comeback. But Bordeaux is in difficulty in Ligue 2, where it only occupies a poor 15th place, and was eliminated on Saturday by Nice in the round of 16 of the Coupe de France.
