FC Copenhagen is back in the Champions League after five years, while Borussia once again failed in the group phase. The two clubs now meet in Group G.
The game begins on Tuesday evening at 6:45 p.m. at Signal Iduna Park. The streaming service Amazon Prime * broadcasts the game live.
The last Champions League season was one to forget for BVB: Borussia Dortmund was knocked out in the supposedly easy group behind Ajax Amsterdam and Benfica Lisbon before the round of 16. This time the Borussia awaits a group with Manchester City, Sevilla – and FC Copenhagen.
Against the latter, BVB opens the new Champions League season on Tuesday evening. With a win against what is supposedly the weakest opponent in their group, Borussia could get a good starting position.
The Danish champions have started the new season far from well and are currently only eighth in the table in the Danish Superliga. At least things are going well in international business: FCK defeated Trabzonspor via the championship path and are therefore playing in the Champions League group stage for the first time in five years.
The game cannot be seen on free TV. Only the finale on June 10, 2023 will be broadcast by ZDF.
