Miguel Lu was born with an opaque cornea. If he is not within the half year after the birth the surgery would be, he would be blind for the rest of his life. Such an operation is only conducted in the United States and costs about 100,000 euros.

“Last week we was at doctor Bernard Duchesne in Liège, the doctor to the U.S. was flown,” says Lieveke The Short. “The eyes of Miguel looked very good. He had drawings. So could the doctor check if he was concentrated. That was the case, which suggests that he drawings saw. He looked good everywhere.”
