Shortly before 11 p.m. Thursday is today at protection & rescue Zurich an Alarm is received: In the Zurich school house field of flowers in Affoltern it burn. When firefighters arrived a few minutes later, there were employees of the school already started with the evacuation of around 400 children and teachers. These were temporarily housed in a gym.
The second floor of the school was full of smoke. This had spread through the building ventilation in the whole building. Because of the Size of the school building and the wide distances, the firefighters needed a 40-metre long hose up to the Fire in a wardrobe to penetrate. Then they had the fire, but to quickly under control.

concluded the cause of The fire is now being investigated by the fire investigation service of the Zurich cantonal police and the detectives of the city police. The resulting property damage could not yet be quantified, however, it is considerably, shall notify the protection & rescue. The school house will not be available for several days. (hub)
