After eight months of standstill in the midst of a severe economic crisis, have been agreed between the political parties in Lebanon to form a new government. The new Cabinet was unveiled on Thursday in Beirut, Prime Minister Saad Hariri.

Him, 30 Ministers, including four women. For the first time, women in Lebanon at the head of the ministries of home Affairs and energy. Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil and Minister of Finance, Ali Hassan Khalil remained in office.

In the Cabinet idea said Hariri, Lebanon is facing “economic, financial, social, and administrative challenges”. The economy of the cedar state is suffering greatly under the year-long civil war in neighbouring Syria. “Without serious reforms, it can give no financial resources,” said Hariri in a review of an international Lebanon donor conference in France last year.

The parliamentary elections in Lebanon in may last year, had strengthened the strong position of the Pro-Iranian Hizbullah in the state. The choice had not been moved since 2009, most recently because of the war in Syria three Times. The turnout was only 49.2 per cent.

With a choice to reform the law in 2017, the exchange by the majority – the proportional system and decided.
