Venezuela yesterday, at the end of the day once again hit by a massive power failure. The largest part of the country is again in the dark. In most states, it is no more electricity, reports the oppositiekrant El Nacional.
In the capital, Caracas attracted the population to the streets. The protesters beat on pots and pans to make their protest known. It’s the fourth major power failure in Venezuela this month. The worst outage lasted more than 100 hours.

The government states that acts of sabotage by the United States to the cause of the black-outs. According to the opposition, the authorities have not sufficiently invested in the mains and that, together with a lack of maintenance of the infrastructure, the real reason for the breakdowns.
