The father of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange has called on the Australian government to ensure return of his son in his home country. The Australian Department of foreign Affairs and the Prime Minister, Scott Morrison should do “something,” said John Shipton, the Australian newspaper “the Sunday Herald Sun”.

“It can be easily resolved to the satisfaction of all,” said Shipton is convinced. There have already been discussions between a Senator and a high-ranking official of the Ministry of foreign Affairs about an extradition of his son to Australia. Prime Minister Morrison had, however, declared on Friday that Assange could not expect “special treatment” on the part of his native country.

The Australian Assange was arrested on Thursday after seven years in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London. The government of Ecuador had previously revoked the political asylum for the 47-Year-old, due to the publication of secret U.S. documents is considered by many in the United States as an enemy of the state. The US is demanding the extradition of assange.
