There are clear links between Mehdi Nemmouche and terrorist group Islamic State, and with the terrorists responsible for the attacks of march 22, 2016 in Brussels. This is evident from the indictment that the federal public prosecutor’s office reads on the assisenproces about the attack on the Jewish Museum of Belgium. Mehdi Nemmouche is there along with Nacer Bendrer go for that attack.

Four French journalists that between June 2013 and april 2014 in Syria held captive by ISIL, the later IS, to recognize Mehdi Nemmouche formally as one of their guards during captivity. Nemmouche would be there ‘Abou Omar’ name.

At the time of his arrest, on 30 may 2014 in Marseille, had Nemmouche, also a laptop, a camera and different SD-cards, in which a total of 13 videos or video clips were. In those videos requires a man out of the picture, the attack on the museum. The same French journalists recognize that voice as that of Mehdi Nemmouche. Several elements indicate that the films are included in the room in Molenbeek where Nemmouche for a while stayed.

Brussels Airport

It is not the only link between Nemmouche and IS. The four journalists recognized between their captors also Najim Laachraoui, one of the men who are on the 22 march 2016 head to the airport Brussels Airport, an attack that was claimed.
