Leuven The Leuven Katrien Bavin died after a heavy crash with her Mini Saturday in Antwerp. Katrien was a well-known face in the university catering.
She was a while barmaid in Leuven Central and worked also in the restaurant Meating Room in Heverlee. Round table on the main Market was her last employer. Katrien flew Saturday for yet unknown reasons, her car out of the bend in the loop of the Ring road around Antwerp to the A12 direction Bergen-op-Zoom. She lost control of her steering wheel. She was pinched in the car and was with severe injuries transferred to the University Hospital in Edegem. There she died of her injuries. The child in the car, got slightly wounded.
the accident was the connection between the R1 and the A12 to the North of Antwerp, hours and hours to completely obstructed. Only around 20 hours the road will be released. Social media is full of disbelief at her death.
