It caused a stir, when Alexander Zorniger after the victory over Vejle on Sunday afternoon came the loud quarrel with several of Brøndbys travelling fans.

Brøndby coach was otherwise called down by endetribunen, who would thank the Zorniger for the fight with a so-called Fenerbahce-greeting, but a minority of disgruntled fans argued subsequently, with the German down by the gang.

The disgruntled fans were subsequently identified as members of the array Alpha, which plays a big role on Brøndbys fanafsnit – both at home and away.

Now, the group has chosen to explain the episode in a longer post, where it initially determined that the group does not have a common position on the Zorniger, but each member has the right to his own opinion.

‘Let us be clear, that the criticism has nothing to do with the mediocre sporting achievements this fall. The criticism is about his public statements and actions, particularly on the named players and talentarbejdet in the club’.

‘Specially after the Hobro match (where we posed with 11 foreigners for the first time in the league’s history), there were statements that showed a lack of respect around what the Brøndby IF should stand for,’ saith the.

Alpha typing at the same time, that it is not a discussion about whether Alexander Zorniger has the right in its criticism, but the way it is delivered. And it was that which caused the group to react against the German in Vejle on Sunday.

A response, as the group had neither planned or are particularly proud of.

‘We fully recognise the poor handling of the situation. The situation was in no way solicited or planned from the alpha’s side, which is contributing to the handling was not as it should be. An open quarrel for the rolling cameras benefit no one, but with the emotions to the outside of the clothes, these situations occur’.

Subsequently, the Alpha has been accused of attacking other fans who showed their dissatisfaction with the group and instead paid tribute to Alexander Zorniger. It is rejected outright.

‘There is no one who has threatened Zorniger. There is not someone who has been beaten, because you have sung on him. There is not any, that have been exposed to violence or is threatened, because one would shelf Zorniger. Several Alpha members responded that that was thrown full cups of beer directly against the group, which – regardless of the situation, regardless of party – should not be acceptable’, they write.

the Alpha also opens up more dialogue with other fans, but at the same time stresses, that you will not do anything to avoid confrontations.

’the Alpha is not perfect, and we never. It is in our nature to push the limits and do not shy away from our values in order to avoid confrontations’, says the post, which can be read here in its full length.

Ekstra Bladet spoke after the incident in Vejle with several different sources about the controversial group. It managed not to get a comment from the Alpha.
