The american company Nuby, who among other things sells baby and children’s products in Denmark, is accused of selling a highly dangerous cup.
the Accusations come from a mother from Idaho who had a horrible experience with one of the company’s cups, with the cup supposedly exploded in the face on her when she last week was washing the dishes by hand.
It writes several american media, including CBS News.
Children will have things that light up and have great colors, and you expect that it is safe, but…., sounds from the mother, Dzevada Becirovic, who soon after loses the word, and draws on the shoulders.
She dare not think of what had happened, if it was her son, who had held the cup.
– this is The most scary to think about – that your child comes to harm. And it expects you just don’t when buying such a cup, she says.
It was supposedly the lithium battery, that causes the cup to light, which exploded. The mother was taken to the nearest hospital, where she was checked her lungs and face had been affected by chemicals from the battery.
In Denmark, negotiated a wide selection of Nûby cups to the children, but, so far, is the shining cup with the potentially dangerous battery not to be found in the Danish shops.
the Lawyer for the Nûbys’ parent company, Love & Care’, to CBS 2 News said that the company does not believe that the explosion could have taken place, if the cup had been properly used. They are now investigating how the error could happen, but at the same time, ‘ensure that the product is safe’.
According to the mother, it’s her side not about the money or a lawsuit, but only to warn others, because Nûby not even do it.
– It is obviously not a safe product, she says.
