Aalter Café Chapiteau, on the Market, has been reopened after several weeks of thorough renovations. Chapiteau 2.0 is no longer a jeugdcafé that stays open until early in the morning, but is now a cosy talking shop. The dj is deleted, and at the latest at 3 o’clock at night the door is closed. “I have a little bit of the nightlife,” says Ronny De Wever.
Café Chapiteau opened sixteen years ago, the doors on the Market. Ronny, The Weaver, the manager of the restaurant is The Enjoyer, then opened just next to his restaurant but also a café. Soon it became the meeting place for the Aalterse youth. During the weekend it was often 6 or 7 o’clock in the morning when the last young people were in bed search. After the renovations, the whole concept changed and is Chapiteau 2.0 now a talking shop.
“I’m himself in the meantime for 48 years and had it after sixteen years, however, a bit of the nightlife,” Ronny De Wever honest. “After working in the restaurant, I fell even down to the café. There was often 5, 6 or even 7 o’clock in the morning. That crawls really in the clothes. After sixteen years, we have the café will be renovated and thoroughly refreshed. The ideal time to get the concept at all to throw. It is now a talking shop that is open from 3 o’clock in the afternoon till 3 in the morning. There is still music, but that is no longer rotated by a dj. Now We also have cozy seating areas, a cozy fireplace, and behind is a large community table. Or, the youth here still welcome? Of course they do. But it will all be a pack calmer.”
Brussels café
for Weeks it was built and rebuilt in the Chapiteau. FJ Interior Design in Aalter, belgium and Ruiselede drew up the concept. “We have lighter colors used, making the case much bigger it looks,” says Ronny. “The starting point was the atmosphere of the old cafés in Brussels and Paris. We also have a real retrovloer in the case laid. In addition to delicious drinks and cocktails, you will be in the Chapiteau 2.0 also small snacks can get. Cafe Casino
Striking in the case are the three large photos of the old Market of Aalter. The photos are one and a half meters to three meters large and hang in the back of the case. “That way, you’re also in the back of the case, still a bit on the Market of Aalter.
