Calvin Stengs is in the news again, this time linked to a potential transfer move to SS Lazio. According to reports from Italian Sky Sports, the Serie A side has initiated contact with Feyenoord to discuss a possible transfer deal.

SS Lazio is looking to bolster its midfield after Luis Alberto’s departure to Al Duhail for a fee of eleven million euros. Additionally, with right-winger Felipe Anderson no longer under contract, Stengs has emerged as a potential target for the club.

Stengs, who can play as an attacking midfielder or right-winger, has caught the attention of SS Lazio. However, it remains unclear whether Feyenoord or the 25-year-old midfielder himself are open to an early departure from De Kuip.

In a recent interview, Stengs expressed optimism about his future development. Despite recording eight goals and eighteen assists in 43 games last season, he believes he can improve his performance on the field. His current contract with Feyenoord runs until mid-2027.

It is reported that SS Lazio is willing to pay ten million euros plus bonuses for Stengs, with English clubs also showing interest in the player. Stengs, on the other hand, has stated that he is satisfied with his first year at Feyenoord and is focused on his growth as a player.
