Union of CC OO de Correos would like to condemn the Cazorla Post Office’s “stress”. This is due to the absence of personnel and because “no casualties and personal matters are covered”. Also, the mail arrives at the office at a time they don’t consider acceptable.

We have been with two urban postmen for almost three weeks (four sections of urban delivery with just three postmen since we have a permanent adjacent), and even with one delivery man, one day with one postman. This affects both urban and rural delivery workers as they work together in urban distribution to remove accumulated shipments.

The situation is that rural sections are not covered. This causes offices in rural areas to not open on certain days. Citizens then lose access to the office service and accumulate work. “This is causing widespread stress within the mailroom. It is affecting our health and putting us in danger. The five of six colleagues who work in this mailroom with vehicles are particularly at risk, as stress can affect driving and cause an accident.

CC OO clarifies that they do not seek financial compensation. They believe the company is not concerned about their safety and health, and that it does not care enough to ensure that customers receive a quality service from the Post Office.
