At the great airport of London-Gatwick is flying, nothing more – except a drone, you don’t know where she is. Around 20,000 passengers are affected. Their flights were diverted or cancelled.

Still Gatwick is completely locked. Since yesterday evening at 9 o’clock nothing more is the second-largest airport in the UK. “We had to act immediately,” says Airport CEO Chris Woodroofe: “at nine o’clock yesterday evening, two employees have seen a drone. Since then, the drone showed up the whole night again and again, and again disappeared.”

dozens of flights were diverted to other Airports, thousands of passengers had to stay in Gatwick, on the ground, many were stuck for hours in their aircraft, some complain about the lack of Information. “This is ridiculous,” says this man. A woman landed in Luton, 50 kilometers North-West of London: “We flew from Glasgow to Gatwick and then Luton had been diverted. Since we had to stay two hours in the plane, before we finally came out and then were brought with the Bus to Gatwick.”
