Jabbeke Tjop’s, the winner of My Pop-uprestaurant 2017, has been recently a eye-catching food truck driving around. A converted Us ambulance from 1996. “There are a lot of foodtrucks, so you must catch the eye to make the difference,” says Karel Knockaert (35) from Zerkegem.
Karel and his best friend Birger Allary from Ruiselede won the popular cooking show thanks to their excellent barbecuekunsten. In the meantime, Birger are Grill Academy in Ruiselede, where he courses Weber-barbecue. Karel focuses with Tjop’s Low & Slow BBQ on eventcatering and foodtruckfestivals.
