Inviting rosébubbel from a hajpad region. Is made according to the same method as champagne, and is used here, only pinot noir whose shell both have got to grant a little color and texture to the wine. Rich in both aroma and flavor, where the red berries, apple and almonds together nicely for attention. Extremely skaldjursvänligt.

Mineraldriven and energetic champagne from the area of Verzenay. The grapes, pinot noir and chardonnay, from a vineyard formerly owned by Moet & Chandon and ended up then in prestigevinet Dom Perignon. Smakmässigt rich and nice, while the fragrance promises floral but austere elegance. Serve in vitvinskupor to salty snacks.

Good timing with an extremely julmatskompatibel pinot noir in the sensible price range in the normal range. The pig on the label can certainly easily be connected to julskinkan but really aimed at the winemaker Hans Schwarz previous occupation as a butcher. Regardless it sits here nicely as allroundvin when you are finished with the herring and the salmon.

the Qvevri is the name of the traditional amphorae of clay from which the wine is matured in. The result is a wine which may be a light coppery tone with lots of golden flavourings in the form of apricot jam, orange peel, almond paste and red apples. The flavor lands knastertorrt and with a pleasant astringency at the end that you easy rounds with gräddstuvad kale.

Lovely Mediterranean flair in the middle of winter with the aromatic grape variety godello in the driver’s seat. Imagine that the sun is shining on a beachfront terrace and the wine will come into ishink. White peach, lime, white gummy bears, and with the newly cut herbs on top. Middle rounded and soft acid lightening up for Jansson and a little bit of it småvarma if you prefer to drink white.

French julbordsvänlig blandlåda where most of it is organic. First off the bubble from the Château de Brézé in the Loire and a mineralfet muscadet signed Hautes Noëlles from the same area. Then four elegant red where the winners are the cabernet francs from the Château du Hureau in Saumur-Champigny and gamay noir from Château Thivin in Beaujolais.

the Maturity and complexity of supplements on the starkvinshyllan from the region that has made itself known for the phenomenal wines. This wine reminiscent of a ripe and rustic version of tawny port. With over 30 years of storage, there are lots of nuances to get lost in. This time of year are easy to find droves of nuts, dates, caramel, and orange peel. Phenomenally chokladvin.

Few wines are so julvänliga as madeira. Justinos semi-sweet variation on the half-bottle is certainly a gem no matter the season but it is probably by now it will sell best. In the glass, old fashioned caramel, dried fruits, nuts, and fudge. A complete mirror image of the julbordets godisskål. Good for apple pie and cigar.

The coveted gin & tonic- “glögg” sold out in a matter of few minutes. Fortunately, there are manufacturer’s pink gin available in most stores. The pale pink coloured lemon slice, cherry has been seasoned with rose petals and rhubarb without losing its clear ginkaraktär. Mix the spirit of christmas blommigaste gin and tonic, or why not use it as a base when making your own gingerbread GT-mulled wine?

What would be christmas without snaps? Unlike midsummer, when akvaviten must be completed and citrusfrisk may the christmas time be the and a bit rounder in flavor. The seasoning here is elegant classic with fennel, cumin, juniper berries and some coriander on the top. Välstämt and very sångvänligt.

The best over mulled wine made with apple juice and äppeldestillat will, without doubt, from Norrtälje. This has managed with great skill to get to a safe and sound äppelkänsla interspersed with layers of spice and a nicely integrated alcohol. Works well to serve both hot and cold, happy together with mild saffron buns.

The German version of mulled wine is as a rule not as sweet as the Swedish and tend to be a tad lower in alcohol than what we categorize as vinglögg. Katzenhütte is made of organic wine and seasoned traditionally with cinnamon and cardamom. The slightly healthier and not so tail-heavy nature makes it also works nicely to serve cool.

Grythyttan has a niche to make fruit wines with Swedish flavors you find in the woods. Their skogsglögg is no exception and is done simply in the cranberries and blueberries which is allowed to ferment in steel tanks with the classic “glögg” spices. The result is a buoyancy and elegant shot of christmas in the mulleskogen. Piece of brie and gingerbread.
