The dish went for a price of 1.6 million. kr. for a dish (288 fl.) of the Corton Clos du Roi and Meursault premier cru ‘Les Genevrières. In the regular auction was the most expensive a 456-liter barrel filled with Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru ‘Cuvée Dames de Flandres’ which was sold for around 1 million. kr.
2018 was a warm and excellent year in Burgundy with early spring, a very hot and dry summer. A cooler autumn meant that the grapes retain their acid. One can therefore expect a particularly nice class of the classical field, particularly at redwine.
