Amalie Dideriksen and Julie Leth drove up Saturday to a bronze medal in the cooperation (madison) at the WORLD championships.
The two Danish women ended on 24 points. Australia ended on 31, and the Netherlands took the gold with 33 points in the account.
It was not, however, far from becoming yet more points to the Danish women, who were close to snatch a game on the field on the last laps on the track in Pruszkow in Poland.
Amalie Dideriksen and Julie Leth won in 2018 EM in a few.
At the WORLD cup in 2018 was Amalie Dideriksen number four in cooperation with Trine Schmidt as a partner.
the Finals in Poland was interrupted about half way with 45 laps left, after a rider from New Zealand crashed without obvious reason.
At the time was the Danish duo on a shared fourth place with seven points.
Holland was safely in front with 24 points, ahead of Australia (15) and Italy (10).
Thus Denmark out and take a lap to reach the top of the pointtabellen, and it tried the pair.
In the first time happened without great luck – and with 30 laps and three sprints back was Denmark in fifth place with nine points.
With 17 laps back tried the duo, therefore, again.
This time it was closer to success, but it was only for victory in the final sprint, which gave double the points compared to the 11 previous.
Amalie Dideriksen drove again a nice race, after she opened the WORLD cup with a violent crash in the discipline scratch.
