In three weeks was Kevin Andreasen, who is best known under the stage name Bridge in his apartment, tucked away behind blackout curtains, and with the television running as background noise.
He could not bring himself to go outside the door and didn’t want to get a visit. He ordered takeaway, but it was also the only thing he managed to do.
It was frightening, for I knew not what was wrong. I had never had it like that before, says the 24-year-old singer.
For Kevin Andreasen has fear been difficult to talk about. Yet this is something he has chosen to be open about in a new Viaplay-documentary with the name ‘Kevin Bridges’.
the Documentary is set to premiere on Tuesday the 16. June and goes close to the singer’s childhood, his family, and his struggle with anxiety.

As the Bridge has Kevin Andreasen recent years hit on radio stations and at parties throughout Denmark with landeplager as ‘South’ and ‘Where are you bro?’.
Songs about sun, summer, love and friendship. All festive and happy in life.
But then in december, life was lonely and dark, and Kevin Andreasen had no idea why.
I decided that I was going to have to go to a psychologist to get to something to know, he says.
After the conversation with the psychologist, he was diagnosed with anxiety.
– When I found out what it was, and began to take the medication, it helped me, ” he says.
The young singer is thus one of the about 350,000 danes according to the Danish Health and medicines authority is fighting one or another form of anxiety.
This, among other things, he for the first time speaking openly about in the new documentary.
– I am missing to show more of myself, so people can get an impression of who the man behind the ‘South’ and ‘Where are you bro?’ is. I have been very closed, and people don’t really know anything about me, he says.
the Bridge is not the only celebrity who has struggled with the psyche. Recently told Ronni Garner Extra Magazine that his life had been a living hell, after he was admitted to the closed chamber (+).
Kevin Andreasen was born and raised in Rødovre, where he still lives.
In 2016, he released ‘Where are you bro?’ as his first song under the name of Bridge, that has since been streamed more than ten million times on Spotify.
In 2018, he wrote ’the South’ to realityprogrammet ‘Paradise Hotel’. It was the most streamed song in the whole of Denmark the same year, and was nominated to ‘Danish streaminghit’ at the Danish Music Awards in 2019.

– If I stand on the stage and has had a lortedag and piss sad, so to get people a lorteoplevelse. It is the last, I will give them. It is there, I switch to the Bridge, he says, and turns with a wide smile and a hint, how the transformation from Kevin to the Bridge going on.
But it is not it, who according to himself has triggered the fear. On the contrary, he thinks that it came, because he in december completely stopped all work for a while.
– It is that triggered it, was enough that I went from working so much not to work. When you are at work 24-7, you don’t notice it. It was only when I stopped that I started to think about it, he says.
Kevin Andreasen has it much better today than in the three dark decemberuger. But the anxiety has not loosened its grip completely.
– I still struggle. I’m not in the city. It is a part of it. I’m talking still with psychologists, who have said that I should stop to take out and help get the bad attention, he says.
He refers to an incident at a nightclub in Italy and a similar episode in Copenhagen. Both times he came up to each other’s throats with another guy.
He did, however, find it difficult to cite other examples of how he can feel that he still has anxiety. It is this: pretty good, he seems even.

– the Medicine helps. And so I live healthier than I did before. I also talk with my friends about it, and it is no longer so confined, he says.
In the same way he hopes that he can get it even better by talking openly about the problems in his life in the new documentary.
– It is well a kind of therapy. Also, because it is not Bridge. There are not any shows or anything. It is just sheer Kevin, he says, and continues:
It has been cross-border of hell to show so much of myself. It can be either good or bad. It is for people to decide for themselves. But it is myself, says Kevin Andreasen.

Already, in december, he told the social media Instagram, that he had been hit by anxiety and stress. But he has not elaborated on it until now, where ‘Kevin Bridges’ has given him the opportunity to talk about it.
the Documentary should really have had a completely different focus with the wild stjerneliv and parties on the strip as the focal point.
But when coronakrisen hit, and all of his concerts over the summer was cancelled, was the documentary series turned into a more personal portrait of the 24-year-old young man from Copenhagen.
And it fits Kevin Andreasen good to be able to show who he actually is.
– People think that I live a super-duper life, and that everything runs on rails. I would like to show that this just isn’t like this all the time. It is pure Kevin. It is very stark and quite scary, he says.
Scary, because he so far has been able to take the Bridge up as a shield in front of himself, when people have criticised him. But with the documentary to get the opportunity to know – and criticize – the, he really is.
– There will always be haters, and there will always be people who say that I make lortemusik. The get used to. But if it goes beyond one’s person, it is something completely different, he says.
the First episode of the documentary series ‘Kevin Bridges’ can be viewed on the streaming service Viaplay from Tuesday, 16. June.
