At the weekend, the RKI and the federal states did not publish any corona numbers again.
The nationwide incidence is now slightly higher at the start of the week than a week ago (216 versus 215), among the federal states 10 of the 16 are in the plus.
The 7-day average, on the other hand, is still slightly (by one percent) below the level of the previous week, and compared to the previous week, the number of cases fell in the past calendar week both in the age group U15 (minus three percent) and in the age group Ü60 (minus one percent).
47 corona cases were admitted to intensive care units from Saturday to Sunday.
This is the lowest daily value since August 22, 2021, more than a year.
A total of 673 Covid 19 patients are now in intensive care units.
A year ago at this time there were more than twice as many.
537 corona deaths were reported to the RKI in the past calendar week.
That is less than in each of the previous eleven calendar weeks.
At least in the further course of September, further declines in the number of corona deaths are to be expected.
Because the number of deaths tends to follow the number of reported infections with a gap of around three weeks.
