Mechelen On the E19 direction Antwerp was the Wednesday morning queuing after a serious road accident.
The accident happened about 4.30 am at the height of Mechelen-North. A truck that is in the direction of Antwerp reed, collided with it head-on into a signalisatiewagen with botsabsorbeerder. The truck rammed the signalisatiewagen themselves and ended up on the guardrail. The damage was enormous, and the emergency services were also massively on the spot.
The director of the signalisatiewagen was at the time of the accident is still in the vehicle. He was wounded and was transferred to the hospital. The trucker remained reportedly unharmed.
