“Digital health services is being investigated by Ivo”
“To seek the care of nätläkare became increasingly popular among the swedes in 2018. But the development can entail risks, a fact that has received the Inspection for health care (Ivo) to initiate a national supervision of both nätläkare and other digital health services, reports Swedish Radio ” Ekot.”
” The risks that we have identified are, inter alia, läkemedelsförskrivning of, for example, antibiotics. It is often not the opportunity for sampling, so it can be important to look at what routines you have for the prescribing of antibiotics, ” says Gustav Rålenius at Ivo, to the Echo.”
“He also stresses that there can be risks when it comes to the time of discharge of the controlled drugs and with the verification of identity.”
“Ivo will begin with a review of the medical records and prescription of medications.”
“We hope that this supervision will contribute to learning and that there is an opportunity for us to work the prevention of patientsäkerhetsrisker,” says Gustav Rålenius.”
