The nationwide discountkæde Net has just opened its store number 500, but this does not mean that the company will just sit back and enjoy the results.

Thus joins the Salling Group, which is behind the Net, that you have plans to open 18 stores more next year.

In total, will invest one billion dollars in new stores, writes the group in a press release.

the Investment will be used to promote the chain’s new concept, which among other things includes new colors and fewer on-the-spot goods. The plan is, that in the course of 2019 to open a total of 70 stores with the new concept.

In advance has the Net opened 10 stores with the new concept in different places in the country. The first of its kind opened in June, and according to the Net has all the stores experienced great success.

– Basically, we want to create shops, as it is nice to be in for customers and employees, and we are very pleased with the reception we’ve gotten from the customers of the first stores with our new concept, says Michael Lion, president of Net, in the press release.

Nettos objective is that all the chain’s stores over the next five years must be changed to the new concept, where the yellow color is entered a little into the background in favor of more black.

The new Net concept includes among other things, a major fruit and vegetable section and a larger section with the so-called ‘convenience goods’, which consists of food that can be eaten on the go or easy to prepare. They must be in the extension of the fruit – and grøntafdelingen.
