removal of the snow and sandningen in Stockholm has during the winter been for all of the criticism. The companies that have been procured by the city of Stockholm is doing its job.
this becomes particularly difficult for the elderly and the disabled, but also for parents with strollers. Very strange is also that the cycling paths are free from snow and ice, while the sidewalks are almost impassable.
the budget for the maintenance of the cycling paths are twice as large as the budget for the sidewalks, according to a response from the Trafiknämnden. Then you have to ask how many bikes in the winter in comparison with those that go and how the age distribution between these groups?
For a couple of weeks ago e-mailed we trafikborgarrådet Daniel Helldèn (MP) and asked three questions:
How is the contract with the company which shall manage the removal of the snow? What are the requirements?
What happens if the company doesn’t manage its commitments? They still continued to trust?
What are you going to do to winter-sanding and snow removal should be improved this year?
We are still waiting for answers.
