Brazil and Southeast asia, cut down their forests at a brisk pace in order to create more revenue. A completely normal behavior, which has been applied through the centuries, not least in our neck of the woods. Now, however, the conditions changed and the great forests are vital for the whole of the existence,
we have created our prosperity by exploiting fossil fuels, and huge fortunes were generated in the countries that had access to the products. The residues have completely free been released into the atmosphere and now we see the results.
Areas with large forests are now with perhaps the world’s most in-demand resource, at the same time as the economic situation is not the best. It is time that these countries get paid for capturing carbon dioxide emitted and can create a prosperity such as ours, without further destroying the atmosphere.
Sure, but significantly cheaper and more efficient than building huge infångningssystem for carbon dioxide. It will be difficult? Surely, the nationalists are becoming increasingly common in the world. But we need to not only pay to live, but to survive.
