Celebrities Monday was Mandy Moore (34), her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and that is already special event got even more colorful when her ‘A Walk To Remember’-opponent Shane West (40) showed up.

In 2002, played Mandy and Shane together in the romantic american drama ‘A Walk To Remember’, and that has clearly left an indelible impression left on the two actors. So could West not resist to Moore’s surprise at the ceremony and he gave in addition a sweet speech about their time together.

“When we met, we couldn’t be more opposite,” said West. “I wore poorly-thought-out clothing and eyeliner, had a questionable haircut and sat in a garage-punk band, or whatever it was. And you did it great as a pop star and you had beautiful, very long blonde hair. I tried to listen to The Clash and The Ramones, and even though you are not really interested, was rather sweet about it.” Yet the two were friends. “Not only was this movie on every possible way is a fantastic experience, it gave me the chance for this amazing woman to fall”, the actor further. “Mandy, you are truly a pearl, your smile is incredible – really, the room light on when you walk into – your energy is irresistible and you have a huge heart. I could not be prouder, and I couldn’t be happier for you. I love you.”

For those who still have any doubts or the relationship between the two is purely one of friendship: Mandy is now happily married to singer Taylor Goldsmith. Also on a professional level, they are still doing well. Mandy is already a few years to see in the tv-series ‘This Is Us’ and Shane makes music with his group The Twilight Creeps and played recently in the series ‘Salem’ and ‘Gotham’.
