For weeks, the copyright reform of the EU heated tempers. Shortly before the decisive vote, the parliamentarians in Strasbourg delivered once again a passionate war of words.
Shortly before the vote on the Reform of the copyright law opponents and supporters of the project in Europe have delivered to Parliament a fierce word battles. Julia Reda of the pirate party, a Worführerin the opponents of Reform, said that of the five million citizens a Petition signed against the scheduled upload of the filter. In addition, more than 200,000 people had demonstrated at the weekend against these plans. However, any criticism had been ignored – the EU Commission had referred to the protesters rather than “Mob”.
