photographs that were not yet shared could be accessible to the apps that the users in question have given permission to share their Facebook photos with. The vulnerability of the system lasted between 13 and 25 september.
If a user wants to create a post with a picture so it will save Facebook a copy of the image before the post loaded up. If the user then loses the reception or go into a meeting, it is the copy left even later.
the Bug could have included the 1,500 applications that were built by 876 developers.
”We are sorry that this has occurred,” writes Tomer Bar, chief technology officer at Facebook, in a blog post.
