Consumers are herd animals, and the media abounds with stories about that one soon can’t run into major european cities in a dieselbil.
the Result is the car buyers, not even considering the diesel because partikelspøgelset and the general headwind causes them to think that the diesel is noisy, expensive and not particularly green. At the same time haunts gensalgsværdien in the background as an uncomfortable unknown.
At the great German premiummærker looks one instead of diesel as an efficient alternative, especially for petrol engines. Manufacturers are therefore working on new engines that emit far fewer NO-particles than the 168 mg/km, which is the border from september 2019.
That also applies to the engine in the midsize Mercedes-Benz C-Class. The model has received a major facelift, which includes far more than the full LED headlights, which are now among the standard equipment. 80 percent of the car’s vital parts have been optimized, and it has made the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, which already was a well-run car, even better.

Soft forces
I have been running a part gasoline cars with automatic transmission and the specifications of the paper have seen, sensible out, but where hestekræfterne not really have been present. Benzinmotorernes torque can’t match a diesel, and so experience is often a little ugly nedgearinger by acceleration.
It does not happen in the new C-Class C220D. It has replaced its aging diesel engine with a new one from its big brother the Mercedes-Benz E-Class that features a 194 horsepower and a torque of 400 Nm.
the Combination of the new engine and a 9-speed automatic transmission is available not better in the class, and the car is extremely quiet and harmonious.
In the vast majority of driving situations, there is not anything that indicates that you are running diesel. Only at very strong acceleration comes diesellyden stealthy, but it falls immediately to the ro, when you lift your foot from the accelerator.
If you drive many miles, there may be good sense to book C-Class with ‘Førerassistentpakke Plus’. It gives you access to the best market semiautonome systems, and on motorways and main roads it is very relaxing to let the car steer itself and just keep easily stuck in the steering wheel.

Semi-automatic baneskift
the Car follows the road, as if you are even concentrated and controlled, but it does not! In the C-Class keeps also up nicely to overtake the lead on the highway, located in the inner tracks and are approaching a slower car in midtersporet, yes, so suiting the car though, not to drive past the lead.
you Will avoid the car in midtersporet, blinkerarmen just held down for a second, after which the car switches to the left lane and passes. The system also sets the move after the signing.
In the cabin has Mercedes-Benz C-Class got new multifunktionsrat, infotainmentskærm of 10.25 inches and allow for full digital instrumentation, but looks like otherwise themselves. In a time where the screens grow on virtually any car, it would have been perfect, if the new model had been integrated the screen more in the instrumentation, such as it is managed for several of the competitors.
This detail is not, however, something that really pulls down. After a week with the Mercedes-Benz C220D is the result the thumbs up in all respects.
Will you buy even, the starting price of 470.000 dollars, while the tax basis by erhvervsleasing constitute 390.000 euros.
The much-improved Mercedes-Benz C-Class is now so successful that it probably is the best-in-class car. At least until the all-new BMW 3-series comes on the market about a month’s time…
