The Federal government wants to support life-saving activities of the United Nations, for the starving people in the war-torn country of Yemen, with 100 million euros. The Minister Heiko Maas told German foreign before the start of the Geneva donor conference.
Humanitarian organisations should not be prevented from living to provide life-saving aid, said the foreign Minister. The protection of the civilian population and civilian infrastructure must be ensured. In the long term, a political solution must be found in the conflict.
