Denmark won the Sunday WORLD championship gold medal in handball for the first time on herresiden with finalesejren at 31-22 over Norway. For the 37-year-old Hans Lindberg, it was a little strange tournament.

– I will venture to say, that I had been shifted into the past, if there had not been a rule about a maximum of three replacements. I was ready after five days and could already have the game gruppekampen against Norway.
– It went faster than the doctors expected. They underestimated how quickly I heal as 37-year-old. But on this team to contribute also outside of the track, says Hans Lindberg.

– I have not taken a position or to talk with Nikolaj (Jacobsen, ed.) about. It is insanely hard to train with the national team, but it is also fun to be a part of the squad.
– It is difficult to describe in a moment like this, where you are rewarded with, that all goes up in a higher unity, and you are writing history with a WORLD title. But we must see with the future, ” says Lindberg.
