Maria Dolores Garcia Orellana Garcia Orellana was the school monitor at the Lucena Rivas public School in Lanjaron over the past 35 years. She received a touching and heartfelt tribute to her retirement. Maria Dolores was greeted with many hugs, kisses and congratulations by the faculty, the Lanjaron City Council represented by Eric Escobedo and Alba Moya and the AMPA headed by Joaquina Galvez. Maria Dolores was surrounded by affection and love. A video was made by teachers and students to congratulate this outstanding woman from Orgiva. She spent four years at San Jose de Calasanz Public Schools in Orgiva before she began her work in Lanjaron.

The Lucena Rivas de Lanjaron Public school has 220 students and 23 teachers. Marta Gomez is the school’s director.
