Jon was the great love of Lauren Pritchett (27) from Washington. But he was addicted and Lauren would also become addicted. They kickte, but he was not there. She begged him to kick the habit and pushed a photo of their son under his eyes. “How will he react if I should say his daddy is not here anymore?” she asked when Jon. But they could not then imagine how quickly this becomes a reality would be.

“I met Jon when I was 13 years old,” says Lauren. “He always was the boy to whom I returned after another relationship had spoke walked, he was my first love, my best friend. We had a deep connection that is difficult to explain.”

On their nineteenth day they were again a couple. He was already addicted to pills and she had just graduated as a beautician. On her 21st she was pregnant with their first child, and it felt as if both of them again were on the right track. But it would not last long. When their son Ryder, seven months old, came the heroin in their life. Fortunately, they lived when the parents of Jon who helped them in order to care for the child.

The next few years floated them between a clean existence, and again relapses. Eventually, Jon was arrested and had to appear before the court. He was obliged to a heavy afkickprogramma to follow and succeeded. Just like his girlfriend is also again clean. They were now finally both afgekickt. The future would bring them back attracted. “We were both so hopeful and happy. It felt like we still had a whole life set up for us.”
