The Huetor Vega City Council will adapt the sidewalks on Andalucia Avenue in the section between Dona Juana’s intersection and the cafeteria right in front of the gas station to make them accessible for disabled people.

Parallel to this, the government team also carries out small actions in the Urban Planning area such as the repair and maintenance of a section on Carmen de San Rafael near Cuesta de los Naranjos. We are constantly trying to fix sidewalks for everyone, not just the disabled. Susana Megias, Councilor for Urban Planning, says that we spend the entire year fixing and adapting sidewalks.

In this spirit, it’s worth highlighting the actions this year in San Miguel, Los Almendros Avenue at the corner of Monte Velez Street. Here, a very old sidewalk has been repaired and new channeling used.

The City Council is also working on the renovation of La Nava’s kiosk bar. They plan to reopen it in the future.

Another work in progress is the expansion and modernization of the Fairgrounds’ Civil Protection Room. This will allow volunteers to function better in that space.
