Kosovo should get its own regular army. The decided to the Kosovar Parliament. The 107 members present voted unanimously in favour of appropriate laws, however, the vote of the nine members of the Serbian list, the Serbian minority in Kosovo, was boycotted.
Now, the Parliament will have to vote about a law project in which the future organisation structure of the new army. The date for civil cases as provided for and lightly armed Kosovo Security Force (KSF) to be converted with the decision in a proper army. The troop strength should be currently 2500 man on 5000 doubled. The new law, according to the new army, for the conversion of a “mandate for the defense of the country”.
