Nasa’s space probe New Horizons has captured images of the farthest object ever explored in our solar system.

There is talk about himmellegemet the Ultima Thule, there are 6.4 billion kilometres from earth.

Himmellegemet, which consists of two objects, measuring just 33 miles in length and has a distinctive appearance, writes the Associated Press.

– It is a snowman, laughing head of research Alan Stern at a press conference and adds.

– It is historical. Never before has a space probe found a small body with as high speed as far away in the university.

the Ultima Thule is a isklode with an expected temperature of -240 degrees. Spacecraft passed himmellegemet with a speed of 50,000 kilometers per hour.

the Ultima Thule is located in the kuiper belt, which is an area of the solar system. It is so small that it was first discovered in 2014 as they searched for new targets for New Horizons.

Researchers from the Nasa estimates, to the Ultima Thule occurred at the solar system’s beginnings. Thus there is a talk about the most initial object in the room, as researchers have had the opportunity to examine at close quarters.

New Horizons has been underway since 2006. In 2015 passed the spacecraft Pluto and sent pictures home from the dwarf planet.
