Finance minister Kristian Jensen (V) father, Jens Erik Jensen, died Sunday morning, the Left.
Kristian Jensen grew up together with his two brothers on a smallholding outside the village of Bøvlingbjerg in west Jutland. Both his parents were employed as teachers at the local school, where the three sons also went.
Kristian Jensen’s mother died in 2007.
On Facebook, writes Kristian Jensen on the death of his father:
‘A long and active life is over. Yesterday was my dad, Jens Erik Jensen, peace after struggling with disease, cancer and eventually a blood clot in the brain. Right to the last he was in the process of planning valgmenighedens general assembly, the grandchildren gymnastikopvisninger and the spring tasks. My father was a rock of calm and an inspiration for others. I’m happy that he got 78 active years. And I am grateful that he was my father. Honor be his memory.’
Jens Erik Jensen will be buried on Friday. 13.30 from Bøvling Valgmenighed. The left states that the media is allowed to come to the funeral, but please respect the privacy.
