Through its Social Services, the City Council of La Zubia will subsidise children who have less economic resources. This amount includes the Municipal Summer School. It is an initiative to aid families in reconciling during summer months. This service will be provided by the Department of Social Welfare to help these children, whose families are struggling, enjoy an entire program of activities without any cost.
The Department of Sports organizes the Municipal Summer School. It’s celebrated from June 27 through September 9. It allows children to swim in the pool and participate in workshops, crafts or other sports activities.
Puri Lopez, the mayor of La Zubia, explained that the City Council will “this year subsidize the sports school if families have fewer resources and that we will devote all the resources we can to it, since we believe it’s absolutely necessary.”
Lopez says that the Zubian Consistory is committed to the well-being and prosperity of those families in the Zubian Consistory with lower economic resources. She is certain that these children will benefit from the grant, which will allow their families to enjoy a better summer and their children to share a full program with other children their age.
Miriam Espinola (Councilor for Sports) recalls that you can sign up for the Summer School for one or two days, and that siblings get a discount. It also offers a dining service.
