France, Germany and Spain declares, that they will recognize Venezuela’s opposition leader, Juan Guaidó, as acting president.
It will happen, unless there are elections in Venezuela within eight days.
the president of France, Emmanuel Macron, writing on Twitter that he will recognize Guaidó as president, unless there are elections next week.
The German government’s spokeswoman writes at the same time, on Twitter, that the federal republic is ready to recognize Venezuela’s Guaidó as interim president, if there is no set of elections in the south american countries within a period of eight days.
In Spain sounds the same message from the government.
– If, within eight days is printed a fair, free and transparent elections in Venezuela, Spain will recognize Juan Guaidó as the president of Venezuela, called it from the Spanish prime minister, Pedro Sanchez, in a statement delivered on state television.
The Danish government expressed on Friday support for a “new hope in Venezuela”.
– From the Danish side hills we are fully up of legitimately elected bodies, and it is the venezuelan parliament.
– It is parliament which have pointed out that their president is now the interim president, said the minister for foreign affairs Anders Samuelsen (LA) earlier in the week.
Many other countries in the region, including the UNITED states, have thrown their support behind Juan Guaidó. He is the leader of the opposition and president in Venezuela, but has declared himself president.
the Crisis in Venezuela will be on Saturday discussed in the UN security council in New York.
The u.s. state department says that the UNITED states secretary of state, Mike Pompeo, will participate in the meeting, and that he will push for the Security council to recognize Guaidó.
Russia, which the UNITED states is a permanent member of the Security council, has so far thrown its weight behind Maduro.
