Nils Frahms grandiose compositions poised between art and kitsch, and music and muzak.

the Majority of the German’s 135 minutes long concert in K. B. Hallen fell, unfortunately, into the latter categories.

After a couple of numbers turned Frahm to the middle of the 2400 members of the audience with a kind of incredulous excitement over, that he has become so popular.

Frahm is not the only one who doesn’t get it.

the pianist’s large-scale mix of contemporary music, ambient and electronic tones can’t be accused of to be obvious to P3, but on the other hand, Jean-Michel Jarre, jo sold 80 million albums, so there is obviously a huge interest for the kind of suspect nørderi.

Frahm may have gotten hold of it højpandede the indie segment. Out on Frederiksberg drive his leisurely rocking numbers, in turn, unnoticed by in long, the tedium of passages.

As a mad eccentric, he was buried in something that reminded me of a smaller space station, consisting of various melodious pianos, drum machines and analog keyboards.

But the show took off really never. And the wizard riveted not.

Technically Frahm effortless, and at times, he demonstrated staggering ability, but even though his latest work is called ’All Melody’, so miss he supermelodierne, as his compatriots in the Release of just shook out of robotdragternes sleeves.

Visually, could the session had benefited from a billedbombardement on a big screen, for time stood still, as everything you could stare at for more than two hours was a German who pressed the buttons and keys wearing T-shirt and cap.

Or perhaps, rather, the emperor’s new clothes.
