Luke Graham is in a tailspin.
As described by Ekstra Bladet Thursday both Danish and foreign fans of Lukas Graham burned inside with the air tickets and hotel rooms, which is not refunded, after the Danish band has postponed an american tour just nine days before the premiere.
In a brief message on social media justifies Luke Graham the drastic step with the ‘conflicts in group planning’.
Ekstra Bladet has tried to get a comment for the postponement, but in a text message Friday evening, informs a spokesperson for the band Lukas Graham do not want to comment further about the background of the situation.
It is commonly known in the music business, that reasons such as ‘conflicts in group planning’ often refers to an artist hasn’t sold enough tickets.
There has not sold out a single one of the 12 u.s. concerts that now take place this autumn, in cities with millions of inhabitants such as Seattle, Houston and New York.
Lukas Graham performing mainly in theatres with a capacity of between 1500 and 2500 fans, which corresponds to a venue which Store Vega in Copenhagen.
the Extra Leaf has been in contact with a representative of the House of Blues in Boston, which confirms that there is sold out to Lukas graham’s visit.
– We have tickets on sale for the new date, but I can’t guarantee that there are more on the koncertdagen, says telefonvagten Isabella.
She explains that she is not familiar with why the concert is postponed.
Luke graham’s current ‘3 (The Purple Album)’ lasted only a single week in the Top 200 in the UNITED states. The successful predecessor, ’the Blue Album’, was on the list in the whole 43 weeks.
The copenhagen band also received sharp criticism, as the in 2016, cancelled a concert at the Tønder Festival on the grounds of ‘unique international opportunities’.
Luke Graham is currently in Los Angeles, where, in the occasion of valentine’s day has promoted kærlighedssangen ‘Love Someone’.
For the time being receives, however it was not so much love from fans with tickets for the postponed concerts.
