French President Macron wants to dare more Europe. His argument, published in several daily Newspapers met with the Federal government’s generally positive response. Specific Statements avoid them.
On the Pro-European appeal of Emmanuel Macron, the German government has responded positively. The German Finance Minister, Olaf Scholz, said that the French President had “a decisive Signal for the cohesion in Europe. I think he’s right: it is Not skepticism, but Confidence should determine our Actions”, said the SPD politician.
“it is Important that we are confident and strong, so that we will not be pushed around,” added Scholz.
Similarly, a government spokesman said: “It is important that the Pro-European forces before the elections to present their concepts.” The government welcome the debate on the orientation of the EU. Have commented on the substantive proposals Macrons neither Scholz nor the speaker.
