A man in the 50’s was the small hours at 03.00 am the night to Friday found dead under a 3.6-metre high christmas tree in front of city hall in the small scottish town of Kirkcaldy area of Fife. The man was found by people who had just been on a trip in the city at the nearby nightclub ‘Kitty’. On the grass under the christmas tree was a big grangren, which supposedly is broken in connection with the 50-year-olds attempt to climb the christmas tree.

Natklubgæsterne rang soon after an ambulance on site tried to revive the man. But he died unfortunately later in the hospital.

There was immediately initiated an investigation of the unusual incident.

A police spokesman in Scotland, has stated the following:

‘Police in Fife responded to an alarm call from Hunter Street in the city of Kirkcaldy at approximately 02.55 on the night of Friday the 14. december in connection with a supposedly unconscious man. The man was treated by doctors on the spot. He was subsequently taken to the Victoria Hospital where he unfortunately later died of his injuries. His death is being investigated as an accident, and we are now trying to find out what really happened with him that night.’

the City is a member of the british parliament, Lesley Laird, said the following:

‘It is a tragic news, especially here in the christmas season. All my thoughts goes to the man and his family and friends.’
