Brussels, A 29-year-old man was Tuesday for three hours, armed with a knife, holed up in a kelderappartement in Sint-Pieters-Woluwe. The cause of the incident would have relational problems.
The usually quiet residential area in Sint-Pieters-Woluwe was on Tuesday rocked by an incident in the Eggerickxstraat. There entrenched an armed man in the kelderappartement to a veterinary practice. “In the building were at that time two persons present. They could in time be evacuated meaning there’s never been a hostage,” says mayor Benoît Cerexhe. Also the dog of the defendant was by the police and brought to safety.
