The Protest is directed against power structures in the Church and the cover-up of sexual abuse by public officials. In addition to the access of women to all Church Offices, the initiator of the demand, among other things, the abolition of compulsory celibacy and a comprehensive investigation of cases of abuse in the Church.

How many people will participate in the week-long “Church strike”, is difficult to assess, said co-founder Lisa Koetter. There are hundreds of groups, on the part of all the Church communities, including Berlin, Hamburg, and Freiburg, had, however, with the movement of solidarity.

Bishop: “The impatience of many women perceive”
