Ana Moreno (dean of College of Economists) took the opportunity to warn of the difficulties that lie ahead for the economy due to the global economic situation. She wanted to emphasize “my conviction that Almeria, more than ever, is a first-class province and that we will succeed because we are an entrepreneurial province. Our economy is dominated by the private sector. The constant effort of our businesses has been there, and we have a diverse productive fabric. We are able to adapt to any market situation.

Francisco Jose Tato Jimenez was the president of Andalusian Council for Economists. After Lorusso’s three partners, Francisco, Isabel Martinez Saez, and Biagio Lorusso were presented with the award, Francisco took the podium. He thanked the Association for this recognition, saying that he would like to extend it to all the micro-SMEs located in the interior province, as well as those who are dedicated to excellence, since they also deserve the award for their efforts, their passion and the passion for the products they produce>>.

The president of the Andalusian Council for Economists joined the celebrations. He also congratulated Almeria on its role within the Regional Council.

Lorusso produces 100% organic artisan jams. They are made with 85% of the fruit and have a reduced sugar content (up to 40%) than other brands. Lorusso uses renewable energy sources to produce small quantities of fruit for each production process. This allows Lorusso to make jams with clean energy. They are organic and free from preservatives and dyes. As if the package were a small gift, screen printing, labeling, and packaging are all done manually.

The extra organic strawberry, blackberry and raspberry are some of the best products. It also produces products that can be used individually or in combination with extra virgin olive oil.

Lorusso works towards several Sustainable Development Goals such as health, well-being and gender equality, affordable, non-polluting and low-carbon energy, reduction in inequalities and responsible production and consumption, as well climate action.

Collegiate awards

The Association of Economists closed its general assembly earlier by awarding different schoolchildren to Pelegrin Garca Martinez for his 50-year association and Francisca Villegas Navarr, Isabel Maria Roman Sanchez, and Ana Maria Moreno Artes, for her 25-years of membership.
