Mexico’s President, Andrés Manuel López Obrador has warned U.S. President Donald Trump in front of it, to close the border between the United States and Mexico. That would be “not good for anyone,” said the left politician, on Wednesday in front of journalists.
Trump had repeatedly threatened with a total or partial blocking of the border. He accuses Mexico, migrants will not be effective enough from the border crossing in the United States.
López Obrador said his government was in “very good contact” with the United States in the border and migration policy. “We can help, and we will continue to help in order to avoid a conflict.”
The Mexican foreign Minister, Marcelo Ebrard, had declared on Tuesday, US Secretary of state Mike Pompeo told him the USA would not close, despite trump’s threats to the border.
